Republic Wireless offers a money back guarantee on all of our products, purchased through Republic Wireless so long as the product is returned undamaged in its original packaging and Republic is contacted within 30 days of delivery of the product (initial shipping is non-refundable). In addition, we also offer a money back guarantee on any new service as long as you contact us to cancel within the first 30 days of delivery.

 

We invite you to try us out and if you decide we aren't right for you, send it on back—no hard feelings! We appreciate you, want your feedback, and hope you'll consider joining us again someday. This page provides helpful details about parting ways.

 

 

Qualifications


Phones

Depending on where you purchase your Republic Wireless phone will determine which type of guarantee you qualify for and your refund eligibility—you may qualify for one guarantee or both. There are two different types of guarantees:

 

  1. Phone Guarantee - This guarantee is available for up to either the first 30 or 14 days after the phone has been delivered, depending on where you purchased your phone.
  2. Service Guarantee - This guarantee is available for monthly service up to the first 30 days after your phone has been delivered.

 

Review the information below to determine which guarantee(s) you qualify for:

 

I purchased my phone from RepublicWireless.com

 

  • New Line of Service - If you're a new customer or an existing customer adding a new line of service, and you purchased your phone from RepublicWireless.com, you're eligible for both a phone and monthly service refund within 30 days of the original delivery date (the time our shipping carrier states your package arrived)—unless otherwise specified on our website or in the case of a special promotion.
  • Existing Line of Service - If you're an existing customer that's upgrading or moving your service to a new phone, and you purchased your phone from RepublicWireless.com, you're eligible for a phone refund within 30 days of the original delivery date (the time our shipping carrier states your package arrived)—unless otherwise specified on our website or in the case of a special promotion.

 

Please ensure you're still within the 30 day period before you initiate a return and request for refund. Please see our Terms of Service for more details regarding this policy.

 

I purchased my phone from Moto Maker

 

  • New Line of Service - If you're a new customer or an existing customer adding a new line of service, and you purchased your Moto X from Moto Maker, you're eligible for a phone refund within 14 days (30 for CA) of delivery (through Motorola) and for a monthly service refund within 30 days of purchase (through Republic).
  • Existing Line of Service - If you're an existing customer that's upgrading or moving your service to a new phone, and you purchased your Moto X from Moto Maker, you're eligible for a phone refund within 14 days (30 for CA) of delivery (through Motorola).

 

I purchased my phone from a third party (i.e. a friend or ebay)

Whether you're a new or existing customer, if you purchased your phone from a third party, you are not eligible for either the phone or monthly service guarantee.

 

Accessories

Accessories purchased through RepublicWireless.com are eligible for a refund within 30 days of purchase and must be unopened and undamaged.

Phones


I purchased from RepublicWireless.com

If you're unsatisfied with Republic, you can start the return process by clicking here and letting us know the bad news. We ask that you wait to send your phone back until we've provided you with a return shipping label via email. Don't worry—you just need to contact us within the 30 days in order to be eligible for the money back guarantee.

 

Your phone must be returned with all its original components and in working order. It will be inspected thoroughly before a refund is issued. Make sure you copy or move any photos (especially compromising ones ...) and any other personal info off the phone before you return it.

 

I purchased from Moto Maker

If you would like to return your Moto X and you purchased your phone through Moto Maker, you will need to follow Motorola's return policy.

 

Accessories

If you would like to return an accessory you purchased from Republic, you may do so by following the instructions in our Accessory Return and Replacement Policy. We ask that you wait to send your accessory back until we've provided you with a return shipping label via email. Any Republic accessory you return must be unopened and undamaged in order to be eligible for a refund.

 

Note: It's important that you use the return shipping label we provide to you. If you don't, it could significantly delay your refund.

 

 

Refund amount for accessories


We'll refund the full amount you paid (plus taxes) for your Republic accessory (initial shipping is non-refundable). Any Republic accessory you return must be unopened and undamaged in order to be eligible for a refund. Once we've received your returned accessory, we'll inspect it thoroughly. If it's been determined that the accessory has been opened or damaged, you will not receive a refund.


Refund amount for phones

 

We'll refund the cost of the phone, taxes and memberships fees if applicable (initial shipping is non-refundable) you paid upon joining Republic, minus any charge backs accrued from items missing or damaged from your return. Missing or damaged items will result in a deduction from your refund amount according to the list below.

 

No refund will be issued if we find that the device:

 

  • is missing from the box.
  • has sustained water damage.
  • has damaged or broken parts (Micro SD card slot, SIM card slot, Micro USB charging port, headphone port for example).
  • has been rooted or otherwise compromised.
  • has a cracked screen or other damage that results in less than normal usable condition.

 

In addition, we won’t reimburse you for and regret that we can’t return any non-Republic accessories you’ve included with the device, (i.e. screen protectors, car chargers, cases, etc).

 

Please allow 7 to 10 business days from the time we've received and reviewed your phone for your refund to process.

  • Minor cosmetic repair (excludes screen damage).
  • Minor scratches/dings on the casing (sides, back) of phone.
  • Missing or damaged port covers (i.e. headphone jack cover, charging port cover and microSD card cover).

 

Level 2 Repairs** = $150

 

  • Significant cosmetic repair (includes minor cracks to the screen).
  • Dents on the casing (sides, back) of phone.

 

You'll be charged the full price of the phone ($149 for 8GB or $179 for 16GB) to the credit card we have on file if we find that the phone:

 

  • is missing from the box
  • has sustained water damage
  • has damaged or broken parts (Micro SD card slot, Micro USB charging port, headphone port for example)
  • has been rooted or otherwise compromised
  • has a cracked screen or other damage that results in less than normal usable condition
