What is MMS?

For those unfamiliar with the acronym “MMS", MMS is "Multimedia Messaging Service" and refers to sending and receiving data such as pictures and videos, as well as group texts.

Do you support MMS?

With a majority of US Carriers* (Sprint, Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, etc.), MMS is currently available with Republic Wireless devices**. However, there are some exclusions. Sending and receiving MMS between providers involves lots of effort on both sides of the equation, so as providers continue to update their networks, there are some that do not support MMS messaging with Republic yet.

Below, you will find carriers where you'll be unable to send or receive MMS messages (this includes group SMS and picture messaging):

TingCellcomNet10Simple Mobile
SafeLinkMetroPCSElement Mobile

* Some MVNO carriers do not support MMS with Republic. You can find that list on our Health and Wellness page.

** Unfortunately, MMS is not available on the DEFY XT due to technical limitations. You can find more info onSMS (Text Messaging) for Motorola DEFY XT.
