Overview:

This document provides info regarding how to set up, forward, access, delete, and troubleshoot voicemail.

  • All unanswered calls are automatically transferred to your voicemail, even if your phone is in use or turned off. You should set up your voicemail and personal greeting as soon as you receive your phone.
  • Forwarding voicemail to YouMail is not currently supported.
  • The maximum number of voicemail messages that you can have in your mailbox is 500. If someone tries to leave you a message and you have reached the 500 message limit, the caller will receive a mailbox full message and will be unable to leave you a message.
  • If your phone is currently running KitKat, you can find the instructions for your Voicemail here: Voicemail (KitKat 4.4.4).
  • For information about voicemail on the DEFY XT, go here.
  •

Please note that the icons you see on your phone may vary slightly from the ones in the following instructions.

This is different from traditional call forwarding, where all calls to one phone are immediately forwarded to the second phone without ringing on the first phone.

Note: Forwarding from one Republic phone to another Republic phone is currently not supported.

The ability to enable (*28) and cancel (*38) voicemail forwarding using the dialpad within the Phone application is no longer supported as of January 2016.
