Cellular Activation

You'll start to receive several notifications. Before you do anything else, you'll need to go through cellular activation. You won't be able to make or receive calls, texts or use data while on cell until you finish the activation.

  1. To complete cellular activation, drag your finger down from the top of your screen to open your notification drawer.
  2. On the notification labeled Cell configuration required, press and drag the notification down to reveal the Update Now option. (If you don't see a Cell configuration required notification, please restart your phone. The prompt should appear after restart.)
  3. Tap UPDATE NOW.

If you dismiss the Cell configuration required from your notifications, a Cell configuration required popup window will remind you to update. Tap UPDATE NOW to update.

Tap NEXT to continue.

20.

You'll see a Welcome screen with your phone number and monthly service plan.

Tap OK to be taken to your home screen.

Note: If you did a system restore earlier in the activation process, please make sure all apps are fully restored prior to leaving your WiFi network.

You can check this by going to the Google Play store or looking at your notification bar at the top of your screen.

If apps have not finished installing and you leave your WiFi connection, apps may continue installing over the cell network, which would use your cell data, if you have any.
