Beta Plan

We currently offer a Beta $19/month (plus taxes and surcharges) plan for talk, text and data (on WiFi and cellular) for Motorola DEFY XT devices.  Please note that as of 7/28/2016 the DEFY XT can no longer be activated on our service.  Currently active DEFY XT phones will continue to work on the $19/month plan.

WiFi Only: $5/month (plus taxes and surcharges)

WiFi only means talk, text and data—but only on WiFi. Outside of WiFi, your device won’t be able to connect to cellular service.

10plan.png

WiFi + Cell Talk & Text (Base Plan): $10/month (plus taxes and surcharges)

Talk and text on WiFi and cellular, plus access to data on WiFi only. Optimal if you're a WiFi-only person but may need access to your phone for calls and texts when not at home or work.

25plan.png

WiFi + Cell + 5 GB on-net 3G: $25/month (plus taxes and surcharges)

Talk, text, and data on WiFi and 5 GB on-network 3G cellular** data. One of our most popular plans, and for good reason! WiFi first and use data as you need it.

**If you exceed more than 5 GB of on-network 3G in a billing cycle more than once in a six month period, we will reduce your cell data speeds until the beginning of the next billing cycle. If you exceed 5 GB in a billing cycle for the first time in a six month period, we will provide you a "free pass," which allows you to use another 5 GB of on-network 3G data before we will reduce your cell data speeds.

40plan.pngWiFi + Cell + 4G: $40/month (plus taxes and surcharges)

Talk, text and data on WiFi and 5 GB of on-network cellular**. Faster speeds, faster connection, faster productivity!

**If you exceed more than 5 GB of on-network cellular data in a billing cycle more than once in a six month period, we will reduce your speeds until the beginning of the next billing cycle. If you exceed 5 GB in a billing cycle for the first time in a six month period, we will provide you a "free pass," which allows you to use another 5 GB of on-network cellular data before we will reduce your cell data speeds.

(Note: This plan is not available for the Moto G (1st Gen.) or Moto E (1st Gen.).

For a list of cities that Sprint currently offers 4G LTE in, please go here.

Psst!: If you're on our Republic + 3G or 4G plans and know you're using less data than the Community average, you may be interested in our Republic 2.0 plans, eligible for the Republic Refund™ program.

*Monthly rates on all plans are subject to taxes and surcharges.

**Excessive cell data use could result in decreased speeds. See our Data Usage Policy for more info.

Keep in mind:

  • You can switch plans up to twice per monthly bill cycle.
  • You'll be prorated from the day you make the plan switch up to your bill cycle date.
    • If you're upgrading your plan
You'll be charged the difference between your old plan and your new plan (less any credit for any unused days of your old plan).
    • If you're downgrading your plan
You'll receive a credit on your account for the difference between your old plan and your new plan. This credit will go towards your next month's bill.
  • Your billing cycle date remains the same when changing plans.
(If you're changing from a DEFY XT to a Moto X, Moto G, or Moto E, your billing date will stay the same, and you'll be prorated for your DEFY plan when you activate your Moto X, Moto G, or Moto E.)
  • You'll need to have access to a data connection, either a cell or WiFi network, when changing plans from your phone (if you're currently on the WiFi only plan, you'll need to be connected to WiFi to change plans.)
  • Only account owners can change plans.
Secondary users will need to have their account owner change their plan for them.

FAQ

As we currently roll out our new Republic 2.0 plans, we know a lot of our members have questions about their current Republic Wireless plans. If your question can't be found here, try checking Your Republic Service for any further clarification.

How do I know which plan is right for me?

Check here for tons of information on the Republic Wireless Plans.

Do I have to switch to the Republic Wireless 2.0 suite of plans or will there be a grandfather period?

While we’re extremely excited about the Republic Wireless 2.0 plans and the feedback we’ve received so far, we understand that sometimes these decisions can take time. With that in mind, we're finding a way to make the best of both worlds work.

Can I switch back to my original plan if I change my mind about the Republic Wireless 2.0 Plans?

Yes, you can switch - but only once. If your mobile phone service is eligible, you'll be able to switch back to the Republic Wireless 1.0 plans one time. After you switch back to 2.0 for the second time, you will stay on the Republic Wireless 2.0 plans.

I have a DEFY XT and a Beta service plan, how do the Republic 2.0 Plans impact my service?

While the DEFY XT is still a popular option among a lot of our members, it unfortunately does not have the device specifications needed to transition to the Republic 2.0 Plans or the Republic 1.0 Plans. So, you will stay on your Beta plan during these changes. For more information, check out the Motorola DEFY XT Overview.

If I buy a new phone, can I pick the Republic Wireless 1.0 Plan?

While all new service lines will start on the Republic Wireless 2.0 plans, if you replace a phone that was previously on the Republic Wireless 1.0 plans, you can activate your new phone* with the same 1.0 plan as it will automatically transfer to your new phone for you. If you replace a DEFY XT, you will default to Republic Wireless plans 2.0. If you're reactivating a phone or starting a canceled line back up, you will only be able to choose from the 2.0 plans.

*1.0 and 2.0 plans only work on Moto E (1st and 2nd Gen.), Moto G (1st and 3rd Gen.), and Moto X (1st and 2nd Gen.) phones.

How do I find my past data usage?

If you’re already a Republic Wireless member, you can find your data usage on the Republic Wireless app under the cell data tab. Once you have your usage history, you can plug the data into our online calculator to figure out how much you’d be paying per month on our 2.0 plans. If your usage varies, check both your heavy-use months against your lighter-use months to get a good average, as the chart below shows:

SeasonalUsage.jpg

If you’re not currently a Republic Wireless member, you can check your data usage history on your latest invoice.
