Overview:

This document provides information regarding what tethering is, what kinds of tethering are available, requirements needed to tether, and step-by-step instructions on how to tether.

Tethering is the ability to share your cellular data from your phone to other devices such as your nearby laptop or tablet. Since tethering allows you to share your cellular data, please note that tethering will consume your cellular data and counts towards your monthly cell data usage. There are three types of tethering available: USB Tethering, Portable WiFi Hotspot, and Bluetooth Tethering. Check out our steps below for each type.

Tethering is only available when your phone and service meet the following requirements:

USB Tethering

USB tethering gives you the ability to connect your cell phone to a device with a USB cable. Once connected, your other device will be able to use your phone's cell data connection.

Tip: Apple computers require a driver in order for USB tethering to work. Please visit Apple's website for more info.
